Registered Nurse (Mental Health)
Member of Nursing Council of New Zealand

Daisy is a Registered Nurse, specialising in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, with several years’ experience in providing specialist eating disorder treatment in Aotearoa.

Since qualifying as a nurse in the UK in 2014, Daisy has worked in a variety of primary, secondary, and tertiary mental health settings across England, Australia, and Aotearoa. Although her passion lies in assisting individuals and their whānau to overcome the devastating impact of eating disorders, Daisy also has substantial experience in working alongside those affected by depression, anxiety, addiction, psychosis, and trauma.

Daisy understands that eating disorders have far-reaching implications and that treatment therefore needs to support the person as a whole. She enjoys integrating self-compassion, mindfulness, and motivational techniques into her therapeutic work and aims to ensure that the individual she is working alongside feels validated and empowered. She believes that full recovery from an eating disorder is possible with the provision of evidence-based treatment that is compassionately delivered; something she is committed to providing.

Daisy aims to uphold an excellent standard of care and does so through a commitment to ongoing professional development and supervision. She is currently completing a Master of Health Practice in Infant, Child, and Adolescent Mental Health (ICAMH) at The University of Auckland to further develop her skills in this field.

Daisy is trained in Family Based Treatment (FBT) for Anorexia Nervosa (AN) and Bulimia Nervosa (BN), Adolescent Focused Therapy (AFT) for AN, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy – Enhanced (CBT-E) for BN and Binge Eating Disorder (BED). She is currently accepting referrals for individuals living in Tauranga Moana and is available to see clients on Thursdays and Fridays, within office hours.
