Eating Disorders occur much more frequently in young people with Type 1 diabetes. This combination of disorders is usually referred to as Diabulimia.
In order to provide better services in New Zealand for this population Dr Roger Mysliwiec from NZEDC has been involved in a study, together with Professor Paul Hofman (ADHB) and other clinicians as well as Lisa Ingle from DEDA (Diabetes Eating Disorder Awareness, www.deda.org.nz).
