Endocrinologist at ERH Associates
Dr Megan Ogilvie is an endocrinologist at ERH Associates with a strong interest in the complex relationship between hormones, metabolism, and wellbeing. Our practice recognises that disordered eating can have significant endocrine and medical consequences, and that recovery is best supported through collaborative, compassionate, multidisciplinary care.
At ERH Associates, we work alongside individuals, families, GPs, psychologists, psychiatrists, dietitians, and specialist eating disorder teams to provide medical and hormonal assessment where needed. This may include concerns such as amenorrhoea or irregular periods, low bone density, thyroid issues, reproductive hormone changes, weight-related metabolic complications, and the broader effects of disordered eating on physical health.
Our approach is respectful and non-judgemental. We understand that many people living with eating disorders have had difficult experiences within healthcare systems, and we aim to create a safe environment where concerns are heard and care is individualised.
We do not see eating disorders as a matter of willpower or simply food choices. They are serious health conditions requiring thoughtful, coordinated care. Our role is to support the medical and endocrine aspects of recovery while working closely with the wider treating team, helping people restore health in a way that is sustainable and person-centred.
